HTML Notes:

<table> tag:

  • The <table> tag defines an HTML table.
  • An HTML table consists one or more <tr>, <th>, and <td> elements.

<tr> tag:

  • The <tr> tag defines a row in an HTML table.
  • A <tr> element contains one or more <th> or <td> elements.

<th> tag:

  • The <th> tag defines a header cell in an HTML table.

<td> tag:

  • The <td> tag defines a standard cell in an HTML table.

Encoding characters syntax:

  • By Name: &entity; Example: &reg; Result: ®
  • By Decimal : &#169; Example: &#169; Result: ©
  • By Hexadecimal : &#x2122; Example: &#x2122; Result:
  • The charset attribute specifies the character encoding for the HTML document.
  • The @charset CSS specifies the character encoding in the style sheet.
  • It must be the first element in the style sheet.
  • Note: Always try to use the name syntax because some mobile browsers don't support encoding character CSS in decimal or hexadecimal.

CSS Notes:

border-collapse property:

  • The border-collapse sets whether the table borders are collapsed into a single border or detached as in standard HTML.
    Syntax border-collapse: separate | collapse;
